Sandblasting is a magical decoration technique thanks to its variability of use.
Below are the most commonly decorated materials and suggested photoresist film :

FLAT GLASS, CYLINDER GLASS (awards, trophies, tumblers, whisky glasses, drinking glassware)

Requested film features : good adhesion, durability, details

Suggested film : RapidMask series

CURVED GLASS (wine glasses, gin glasses, bowls etc.

In relation to the requested sandblasting depth, we can choose from :

2 mil / 3 mil photoresist films

This film thickness is the ideal thickness for surface sandblasting.

4 mil / 5 mil photoresist films

This films thickness is absolutely crucial for stage sandcarving (sandblasting in layers) or deep sandblasting.

6 mil / 10 mil photoresist films

This films thickness comes in handy when sandblasting needs to be really deep (stone deep sandblasting mainly).

PLACE YOUR STENCIL ONTO RELEASE PAPER

After the stencil has washed out and dried, place the stencil onto release paper.

Release paper offers you two important features - keeping the stencil's tacky side from becoming dirty (dust, fingerprints etc.

Our sandblasting stencils respond to the temperature and humidity of the room where they are stored and humidity in particular can vary enormously at different times of the year.
If a stencil doesn't have the required adhesion, simply moisten it and bring the adhesion up to the required level.
