WHY ARE SUPPORTIVE TOOLS SO IMPORTANT?

To excel in sandblasting stencil application and sandblasting itself requires skill, experience and an understanding of the materials you are working with. Also, how a particular material reacts in different situations and what its limitations are.

Below in our blog is a list of supportive tools which can help to make your production more efficient.

SQUEEGEE WITH RUBBER ROLLERS

Our squeegee is perfect for photoresist films application to materials like glass & stone. The rubber-roll side is used for applying the film, and the squeegee side is for getting rid of any air bubbles between the photoresist film and the products surface. The rubber part of squeegee is made from soft material, which allows you to follow the contours of the surface and gives you feeling whilst applying onto curved shapes. For me personally this is an essential supportive tool  and I can't imagine my stencil application without using this particular tool. Thanks to the soft rubber I can feel every curve and every centimeter of the product surface and can also sense any fragility in the stencil material. The rubber is like an extension of my  thumb and is perfect for applying the right amount of pressure onto the stencil.

PRESSURE ROLLER

Our pressure roller is  made from hard rubber which gives you good support while applying pressure onto flat surfaces during mask application. I personally use this pressure roller predominantly on flat glass / flat stone. Because the surface I apply the stencil to is perfectly flat, a combination of good pressure and the hardness of rubber ensures that the stencil is fully engaged onto the product.

BUBBLEEX

This handy brass roller is used for easy removal of air bubbles after application and is absolutely essential! Bubble Ex is made of brass with a filament diameter of 0,06 mm and it is specially made for removing air bubbles between the surface and the photoresist film. Thanks to this little helper you won’t ever again experience the mask blow off.  Personally, my No.1 supportive tool!  Every user should have one of these tools in their toolkit. Trust me, it saves so much trouble with bubbles underneath the mask and it gives you added confidence when sandblasting your artwork.
